A plan to redevelop the Aldersly retirement community in San Rafael could have major historic implications.

Aldersly celebrated its 100th anniversary with a lively dinner dance in San Rafael on Saturday,Dec. 3 with residents, board members, staff, donors and community members in attendance.

Shannon Brown, who last worked as executive director of an Arizona retirement community firm, has been hired as executive director of San Rafael-based nonprofit Aldersly.
